2009- 2010 Kindergarten Discipline Plan

We will continue to use the current coding system.  By adding visual signs of disapproved behavior we will manage the student’s behavior.

Step 1 - Students will be given 2 verbal warnings before being coded.

Step 2 – Each time a student is coded they will be given a sticker in their individual behavior organizers as a visual signal.

Step 3 – Once 3 stickers have been placed in a student’s organizer students will be called into a teacher/student conference.

Step 4 – If behavior continues students will be placed in another kindergarten classroom to write a behavior report (which tells what they were doing and what they should have been doing) that will be sent home and signed and returned by the parents.  This will be placed in the students classroom file.

Step 5 – After 2 parent alerts parents will be contacted by phone.

Step 6 – After 2 parent contacts the student will be sent to the office to be conference and any other necessary punishment by administration.

Offenses that will require immediate office referral after two warnings are: bullying, threatening, passing licks or fighting, and causing harm to people in the classroom.
